Johannes de Back, founder and Partner of investment company Dutchman Capital, has over 12 years international entrepreneurial experience across multiple high-tech industries including mobile, gaming, online and social. His operational experience spans all stages of a start-up: he has held positions ranging from founder and investor to senior executive for operations.

Prior to Dutchman Capital Hans served as the CEO of CLIQ Digital –Amsterdam, the Netherlands from 2003 till late 2011. CLIQ (previously known as TMG-global) is a mobile entertainment company servicing Television Networks and Television Production Companies. Hans co founded CLIQ back in 2003. The company was at his peak active in 40 markets with offices in Amsterdam (HQ), Toronto, Sydney and Sao Paulo. Recently the company was sold to a German based listed company.

Prior to CLIQ Johannes co-founded Telitas in 2000, a Norwegian developer of interactive TV solutions. Hans was COO of the company till it was sold to Forside in 2003, a Japan based multi media company.

Hans started his career as a M&A lawyer. He worked for an international law firms  - e.g. Allen & Overy - for six years and practiced in Amsterdam, London and New York.  He specializes in private equity and M&A transactions as well as capital markets transactions.

In addition to his role at Dutchman Capital, Johannes is currently on the Board of MOKO.mobi. A mobile social network, listed on the ASX in Sydney and is responsible for M&A and corporate development. Johannes is also one of the lager private shareholders of Moko. Furthermore Hans invested in several ‘early – stage’ companies predominately in the Mobile, Social and New Media space. Furthermore Johannes is a ‘mentor’ for young entrepreneurs as well students and is involved in several Start-up training programs (‘Bootcamps’) in Europe. 

Hans has a Master Degree in Corporate Law from the University of Amsterdam and also a Master Degree in Tax Law from the University of Amsterdam.
