About Us

BANSEA is the most established angel investment network in Southeast Asia. Formed in 2001, it aims to create business opportunities for angel investors, and aid in the development of profitable business networks. It brings deals to the members of the network through its monthly investor meetings as well as its Hatcher+ portal, which helps members in their startup due diligence process. In 2008, BANSEA announced a strategic relationship with the Agency for Science, Technology, and Research (A*STAR). In 2009, BANSEA announced a strategic alliance with the Angel Association of New Zealand. In 2013, BANSEA signed a collaboration agreement with the European Trade Association for Business Angels (EBAN) to foster cross-border investment, dissemination of initiatives, exchange of best practices and a close collaboration for future projects.

In 2016, BANSEA launched the BANSEA One fund, pooling capital from angel investors to invest in startups. It also joined the ASEAN Angel Alliance (AAA) (now known as ASEAN Business Angel Alliance, ABAA) as one of the co-founding members, and the Global Business Angels Network. This allows angel investors to expand their network and access to startups and co-investors around the world. In 2018, BANSEA launched the BANSEA Two fund, pooling funds from angel investors within the network, following the success of the BANSEA One fund.

Startups that BANSEA and its members have invested in include Paktor, Bambu, Morpheus Labs, Parcel Perform, Gozem, Burpple, Carousell,, Carro, Shopback and more.


About the Role

We are looking for someone to join the Business Executive Team at BANSEA in Singapore. 

We have venture capital firms, ultra-high net worth individuals, family offices and more joining us to collaborate on early-stage venture deals, as well as combining expertise with other members to improve their own due diligence processes. We also have a significant subset of members who work with us to pool their capital together with other members to share the risk, diversify their investments and maximize their returns.

You are a magnet for that. You will strategize, organize, and execute the growth in our membership base. You'll work directly with the Board of Directors.



  1. Actively source, outreach, contact and build relationships with potential leads and future members (venture capital firms, multi-nationals, ultra-high net worth individuals, family offices and more)

  2. Drive projects related to lead generation, sales pipeline organizing social events for members

  3. Arranging meetings for potential members with Board Members if they have any questions regarding the membership in BANSEA

  4. Track and monitor the investor lifecycle and ensure that all investor queries are addressed in a timely manner

  5. Work with potential members through their onboarding process with the help of the Board


What we are looking for:

  1. People-person personality

  2. High attention to detail, thorough, organized, and self-motivated

  3. Proficient in G Suite tools as well as Excel and PowerPoint

  4. Good oral and written communication skills

  5. Ability to multitask between projects and deliverables and maintain a high level of accountability

  6. Comfortable with working in an unstructured, cross-culture, global environment with high expectations

  7. Ambitious, curious, passionate about startup culture, venture capital and technology

  8. Access to high net worth individuals (accredited investors) through personal networks is a plus
