BANSEA Chairman, Mr. Lance Quek, in his capacity as Managing Partner of Blackforest Global Management, was speaking at EYES Singapore Global Summit 2023. He was joined by Mr. Mohan Belani, Co-Founder & CEO of e27 and Partner at Orvel Ventures, Mr. Lee Eng Keat, Head of Strategy, SingPost and Ms. Cynthia Salim, Director at Target Global.
In this opening panel for the Summit, the panelists shared their thoughts on the growth and outlook of the Singapore and Southeast Asian startup ecosystem to a delegation of entrepreneurs and venture investors from Europe, Asia and the Middle East. Some key points the panel discussed include how the startup ecosystem evolved over the last 40 years, how the quality of founders have improved over time and the key challenges surrounding exits and talent in the region. They also gave ideas to founders on how to enter the Southeast Asian markets.
